The FBK Games, a tribute to legendary Dutch athlete Fanny Blankers-Koen, who won four gold medals at the 1948 London Olympics, are held annually in Hengelo. As part of the World Athletics Continental Tour Gold, FBK Games is among the most prominent athletics events in the world.
This prestigious event offers an impressive array of athletics events, including sprints, hurdles, long jump, javelin throw and shot put. Each event is marked by the presence of world-class athletes, such as Sifan Hassan in the 10,000 metres, Femke Bol in the hurdles and numerous US athletes in their specialties.

The FBK Games not only serve as a stage for athletics stars, but also act as a testing ground for new innovations and concepts in the world of athletics. For instance, new long jump formats were introduced and firsts such as the testing of Wavelight technology took place.
Since 2018, Global Sports Communication has been the organiser of the FBK Games.
