The Heroes Den Bosch basketball players seized the TOTO Basketball Cup for the eighth time in their existence on Sunday afternoon, March 24. In a thrilling final, Landstede Hammers from Zwolle was defeated. The people from Bosschenaren faced a thirteen-point deficit (56-69) in the fourth quarter, but managed to turn this into an 89-82 victory in a sensational final with the support of the more than 800 fans who traveled along. Of course Capital Sports was present as a partner of the club to support the team of head coach Erik Braal in this final.
The final in Topsportcentrum Almere was in every way an advertisement for the sport of basketball, which is already growing strongly in the Netherlands. Besides top basketball, the audience could also enjoy entertainment of an almost American level. With a light and sound show, dancers, kiss and dance cam and a halftime show by the hip-hop group Broederliefde, it became an unforgettable afternoon for the Bossche basketball fan.
