Fans worldwide participate in Back2TheStreets
campaign

In the dynamic world of peak performance and groundbreaking athletics, NN Running Team has long been a symbol of dedication, determination and unparalleled passion. Behind every triumph of this elite team is a unique story. Sharing these stories with the world is a true art. This is where the power of our partnership with Global Sports Communication comes in.

In the run-up to the Berlin Marathon in autumn 2023, we launched 'Back2TheStreets'. In this compelling campaign, NN Running Team athletes impressively return to the places where they achieved memorable feats, both literally and figuratively. To the streets of their triumphs belongs street art.

Back2TheStreets transcends simply going back to familiar locations; it is a celebration of the streets where these athletes made history. It marks the seamless connection between sport, art and community, bringing the inspiration of running to the streets where people live, work and dream.

Camp Seedorf street artists paint striking, colourful portraits along the marathon course, turning bare walls into impressive works of art that tell the stories of the athletes. The first artwork honours none other than Eliud Kipchoge, the legendary runner who has won the Berlin Marathon four times so far and set two world records in the German capital.

Other key players in this campaign include Joshua Cheptegei, who set a world record in the 10 kilometres in Valencia in 2020, and Geoffrey Kamworor, winner of the New York Marathon in 2017 and 2019. Cheptegei will return to Valencia for his first marathon, while Kamworor will once again aim for success in New York. Each athlete has their own unique story and inspires in their own unique way.

The 'Back2TheStreets' campaign is not just about admiration at the course; fans worldwide can actively participate in this celebration of sport and art. Capital Sports has an innovative art-tool developed, allowing fans to create their own street art portrait inspired by the athletes of the NN Running Team. In addition, a webshop has been launched, where fans can purchase exclusive artwork created especially for the occasion. It is a unique opportunity to take home a piece of the inspiring journey to the streets of success.

In essence, NN Running Team's 'Back2TheStreets' campaign is not just a celebration of athletic triumphs, but also of the power of the running community and art to inspire and connect people. It pushes the boundaries of what is possible in the world of the marathon and invites everyone to be part of this exciting chapter in the history of the sport. Welcome back to the streets of success!
